Hello everyone! We’d like to introduce to you Miss Lacey!

Quick Lacey Facts:

- Incredibly sweet temperament

- More relaxed, but does have energetic moments where she loves to play with her toys

- Curious and friendly with other dogs (unsure about cats at this time)

- Great when interacting with and meeting new people

Lacey recently came to AWFP from a rescue in Florida that was at its maximum capacity. Despite being rescued from a somewhat neglectful situation, Lacey has been an absolute sweetheart and wonderful addition to the AWFP family since her arrival! She is a 7 year old Catahoula mix!

With her foster, Lacey has loved to cuddle and have her head rubbed! She also loves to stretch out wide and have her fosters give her belly a nice scratch while they’re at it. Although she can often be found relaxing on the couch, she does have periodic energy bursts where she loves to play with her toys. She seems to be curious and friendly with other dogs from what her fosters have observed, but we are unsure how she would do in a home with cats at this time. You can rest assured that she will love to meet your friends and family - she does great with strangers!

Due to her history, Lacey did present to us with some ongoing medical issues that we have been treating. Lacey was diagnosed with keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), commonly referred to as dry eye. She will need to receive eye lubricating medications and possibly immune-mediating drugs for life.

Lacey has also been receiving treatment for suspected mange or flea allergy dermatitis. Although we are unsure which she may have, neither is contagious and she is responding well to treatment. Please note as well that Lacey may need to receive dental work, but we are happy to speak with interested adopters further about this!

If you are interested in adopting Lacey, please note that she will need to be rechecked and receive her last vaccine booster in roughly 2 weeks at All For Paws Veterinary Clinic. Interested applicants can send an email to awfpadoptions@gmail.com for an application to adopt Miss Lacey! Please note we only schedule meet and greets with approved adopters.
